Title: On Galilean conformal field theory

Abstract: Galilean conformal field theory or Bondi-Metzner-Sachs (BMS) field theory is a type of 2d non-relativistic conformal field theories that have an isotropic scaling symmetry. Their symmetry algebra are called the Galilean conformal algebra, which is isomorphic to the BMS algebra in 3d asymptotic flat space-times. In this talk, I will introduce the bootstrap program for BMS field theories and show some simple examples of them. Due to the non-unitarity of these theories, there appear several novel features. An particular one is the boost mulitiplet, which is similar with the case in logarithmic CFT. We also find enhanced symmetries in BMS free theories, which include a special anisotropic scaling symmetry, which, together with the BMS symmetry, form a space-time BMS-Kac-Moody symmetry.
